Summarizing associations related to private clinics using a memetic perception map
Main Article Content
Abstract
The focus of this study is to map of brand associations and consumer attitudes related to the names of regional healthcare institutions. The initial research question of the study aims to map and analyse brand name associations and conceptual maps related to healthcare institutions, to better understand consumer perceptions and attitudes. During the research, we used a qualitative focus group technique to create conceptual maps of brand associations, which were then aggregated and categorized. The primarily branding requirements for positive associations and the strengthening of positive brand characteristics have been confirmed. Based on the results, it can be formulated as a practical suggestion that institutions should maintain and further develop their brand-building activities, paying special attention to memes that can be easily replicated and that strengthen the brand's positive associations. Additional areas of research may include longitudinal analysis of the stability of the association over time; deeper qualitative analysis of perceptions; comparing demographic or clinical groups.
