The relationship between medicinal herb collection and recreation
Main Article Content
Abstract
Recreation, nature walks, the collection of medicinal herbs and the knowledge related to them can be linked, as they can all help to develop a healthy lifestyle, restor and maintain physical and mental health.
In the literature research part of the article, I present the main knowledge related to medicinal herbs and nature walks; I will present seven medicinal herbs that people can collect during nature walks in Hungary, and I will also touch on the important aspects related to the collection of medicinal herbs.
In my primary research, I will use an internet questionnaire to investigate the usage and collection habits of Hungarian medicinal herbs among 170 respondents. As it appears in my research, many of the respondents use and collect herbs themselves, but not everyone has adequate knowledge. Some people do this on the basis of wrong or incomplete information, which can also cause them to use herbs with the wrong active ingredient, not to get the desired results, and they may lose their initial trust in herbs.
