The sucralose – rewiew study
Main Article Content
Abstract
Short- and long-term efects of non-nutritve sweeteners, where the sucralose belongs to as well, are being investgated nowadays too. Its importance is due its widespread distributon and consumption, because of its apparent harmlessness. However the efects on the body are still controversial. Effects of sucralose are investigated among other things on gut microbiome, on insulin sensitvity, on insulin response, on the blood sugar curve and associaton between artifcial sweeteners intake and cancer risk. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) is 0-15 mg/kg/d from 2000 and it is an EU-allowed additve from 2003 (Lugasi, 2016).
