A CoQ10 terápiás-, prevenciós- és sportteljesítményre vonatkozó bizonyított hatásai

Absztrakt
Egyre több bizonyíték utal arra, hogy a szervezet CoQ10-szintje több klinikai kórképpel és a sportteljesítménnyel is összefüggésbe hozható. Szakirodalmi áttekintésünk készítése közben számost tanulmányt találtuk, amelyek alapján a CoQ10 a gyulladásos mediátorok és oxidatív stressz csökkentésével olyan betegségekre lehet jótékony hatással, mint a szív- és érrendszeri-, vagy daganatos megbetegedések, a cukorbetegség, illetve különböző neurológiai kórképek. Emellett a petesejtek mitokondriális energiaellátásának fokozásával, és a sperma paramétereinek javításával szerepe lehet a meddőség kezelésében is.
Kulcs szerepet játszik a sportteljesítmény alakulásában, mivel csökkenti az izomkárosodás mértékét és a fáradást jelző paramétereket (CK), késlelteti a kifáradást, gyorsítja a regenerációt, valamint javítja a máj- és vesefunkciókat.
Az áttekintésben szereplő publikációk nagy részének gyengesége, hogy alacsony esetszámúak, valamint egyes esetekben ellentmondásos eredmények születtek. Érdemes lenne magasabb esetszámú kutatásokkal mélyrehatóbb elemzéseket, illetve a sporttáplálkozás területén sportágspecifikus vizsgálatokat végezni, mely lehetővé tenné hivatalos, evidence-based étrend-kiegészítési protokollok kidolgozását táplálkozástudományi szakemberek számára.
