Abstract

Pickleball is one of the fast-changing world's newest racquetball sports, created by crossing tennis with badminton and table tennis. It is now played by around 5 million people worldwide. It was invented in the USA in 1965 but only appeared in Europe a few years ago.

In Hungary, it has been known since 2019, and the first national championship was held. Its motto is "A game for everyone", which can be understood almost literally, as it is recommended for all ages and is a new sport and ball game that can be learned easily and quickly. It also has a number of health benefits over the 3 sports mentioned above, which justify its intergenerational appeal. Whether you're a beginner and just want to learn a new sport for fun or leisure, or an experienced player looking for the excitement of a more competitive game, you'll find it in this sport, because pickleball really does have something for everyone.
