As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where included, the article manuscript includes DOI or URL citations for references, based on the citation system defined by APA.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
References must be formatted according to the system defined by the APA (American Psychology Association).
The document adheres to and complies with the formal and content requirements described in the Author's Guide.
The submitted article and abstract text do not include any identifying data/information. [e.g. the name(s) of the author(s) or other information that identifies the author(s)].

2. Author(s) in research
If you submit a paper, the editorial board will consider as author(s) t person(s) who:
hat/those made a significant contribution to the conception, planning or development of the research paper or to the generation, processing, analysis and evaluation of the data;
were involved in the drafting or critical revision of important parts of the publication;
were involved in the approval of the final version;
agreed to be responsible for all aspects of the research.
3. ORCID ID

4. Guidelines for the preparation of abstracts:

maximum character length: 1200 characters including spaces
no acronyms

It should be drafted in a concise style, so that just reading the summary is adequate to understand the point of the article.
The abstract in English and in Hungarian should be uploaded in two separate files and copied to the Title & Abstract menu in OJS.
The text of the registered abstract must not contain any data/information identifying the author.
5. Guidelines for keywords in the abstract
They must be registered one by one in the upload section under the menu item Metadata.
Press enters after each keyword to be recorded under the text box.
Some frequently used terms and concepts are automatically recognised.
A maximum of 5 keywords can be recorded for a study.
6. Specifications for the preparation of the text of the study:
The text of the registered manuscript must not contain any data/information identifying the author.
The citation method used by recreation science journal:
APA 7.0 is the preferred set of rules,
but APA version 6.0 is also accepted.

Formal requirements for the study the text of the publication:

Maximum character length 40 000 characters (with spaces), which includes the bibliography and the body of the text.
Footnotes, bold, italics and underlined highlighting in the text should not be used! Please do not use capital letters in subheadings!
Heading titles (see next section) can be formatted in bold.
7. The structure and content of the study.
Introduction: A few sentences should clarify the question. A detailed historical overview should be avoided.
Methods: The methods, by which the authors obtained the results must be clearly and precisely described. If the methods have already been reported, it is sufficient to state only the basic principles of the methodology.
Results: should be clearly separated from the conclusions section. The novelty of the results should be clearly indicated.
Conclusions: should refer to the latest relevant knowledge as well as with the results from which the authors have drawn their conclusions.
Bibliography: based on specific reference criteria (see next section).
8. Requirements for the preparation of the Bibliography:
The Bibliography should be uploaded as a separate file and copied to the OJS under References.

List only those references that are represented as in text references and are closely related to the investigation.
The references should be listed in alphabetical order.
The maximum number of cited references is 30.
The works cited do not have to be numbered.
Titles, such as Dr., Prof., etc. should not be written before or after the authors' last names.
Pay special attention that the DOI link is included in the citations! We recommend using the following link for the exact definition of the DOI link: https://doi.crossref.org/simpleTextQuery
References should be limited to recent original publications and abstracts.
9. Guidelines for illustrations:
All figures, tables and diagrams must be uploaded as separate files.
The file name should contain the type and number of the illustration, e.g.: figure1.jpg
The size of the illustrations is 17 cm wide at 600 dpi in *.jpg format.
In the *.docx. or *.rtf. or openoffice file containing the paper, the illustrations should appear where the author considers them appropriate. The caption of the illustrations should include: 1) name of the illustration, 2) title in English and 3) source.
The illustrations should not contain the same information as the captions!
The illustrations should be understandable and interpretable independently of the text.
For photos, please also include the title and public information of the authors.
Please avoid excessive use of illustrations!
For manuscripts written by several authors, please make sure that the person uploading the manuscript also uploads a photo of the co-authors! The name of the file should include the name of the co-author, e.g.: Alice Author.jpg.
