The aim of the journal
It publishes summary publications, original scientific papers (in Hungarian, with English abstracts; or in English, with Hungarian abstracts, Hungarian and/or English full-text publications), short studies in the fields of sports science, health science, nutrition science, tourism, including physical and mental recreation. It presents practical health promotion methods, recreation methods, the main recreational habits of Central and Eastern Europe, tourist attractions, recreational trends, recreational opportunities of municipalities, gastronomic specialities, book reviews, role models and other topical articles on recreation.

Health tourism
Head of section: Dr. Szilvia Beke
The aim of the section is to present tourism products and attractions that directly or indirectly contribute to health promotion or recovery through health tourism products. It focuses on presenting national and international health and health tourism trends and promoting the development of the sector.

Mental Health (Before: Lifestyle-Life Coaching)
Head of section: Dr. László Lajos Lippai
Aim of the section: The Lifestyle-Mental Health-Coaching column aims to provide an opportunity to present research results and intervention methods of high quality that support health, mental health and social well-being and are related to recreation. The column will include empirically based studies that meet the editorial criteria for scientific texts and that significantly enrich our knowledge of holistically interpreted recreation from a theoretical or methodological point of view.

Head of section: Dr. Ágnes Bene (Kata Kulcsár Until the Spring Issue 2024)
Aim of the section: The knowledge-theoretical foundations of active ageing include prevention, achieving a better quality of life, especially mental health, mental and physical activity, lifelong learning, nutrition in old age, or even anti-ageing medicine and oriental philosophies of life, which offer practical, holistic, lifestyle-shaping solutions for this age group that can be easily integrated into everyday life.

Head of section: Dr. Katalin Nagyváradi
Aim of the section: To present one of the most dynamically changing areas of sports science in the most comprehensive way possible. The studies published in this column help the reader to orientate himself between the different trends related to physical recreation. It also presents the latest research findings in the field of recreation.

Head of section: Dr. Réka Fritz (Until the Winter Issue 2023 : Dr. habil. Péter Fritz)
Aim of section: The Sports Nutrition section provides sports athletes, recreational exercisers, hobby competitors, sports science, health science and nutrition professionals with scientifically demanding summary studies, independent research articles and discussion essays on recent research findings in nutrition science in sport.

The journal accepts papers in Hungarian and English.
Editing procedure
The publisher conducts a double anonymous peer review after the manuscript has been accepted.
